Kiharrah Johnson

Hi! My name is Kiharrah Johnson and I am coming up on my 3rd year in the classroom. I began my teaching career in Dallas ISD at the Montessori Academy at Onesimo Hernandez. I feel incredibly lucky to have began teaching in a Public Montessori. I hope to learn from the incredible Montessorians at Prestonwood, and continue to create access and equity for all students to receive a Montessori education.

Montessori Materials

The Montessori Method also uses hands-on materials to teach math and science. Through materials such as the classic golden beads, number rods, and spindle boxes, children learn the basics of mathematical and scientific concepts. These concepts, in turn, prepare the child for more advanced lessons.
